Masitek, the leading smart in-line sensor provider for the food and beverage industry., is very pleased to announce that the world’s second-largest bottler of wines and spirits, Pernod Ricard Group of Paris, has put ShockQC to use in their Arkansas plant. The site is the world’s only production and bottling facility for Kahlua liqueur.
(Moncton, NB) Executive Vice-President of Global Business Development for Masitek, Pablo Asiron, explained how the connection came about. “The plant was having glass breakage on their lines and were having trouble finding the root cause of the problems. They went on a search for solutions and after finding our website and then contacting us, we did a remote demo which lead to an on-site visit. To fully explain the workings of our sensor products, we put our ShockQC™ to work on one of their lines and although they were having other systems quoted, once they saw it on the line, the decision was made. Their people were immediately impressed and said that it gave them a whole new understanding of their line which they just wouldn’t be able to see otherwise.”
CEO, Tracy Clinch added, “Pernod Ricard has a very strong, comprehensive portfolio and employs nearly 18,500 people. The company sells, and has facilities, globally and produces some of the world’s most well known brands. Their guiding principal is based on decentralization and they have eighty-five direct affiliates worldwide. For us to now have the ability to showcase our products to them is another very important step in our own global growth.”
Asiron concluded, “One of the big selling features for them was also the fact that they could transfer one sensor within multiple bottle types. We have the means to offer that flexibility.”
